Ruby Irene Lee loved life and lived it to the fullest. Ruby was born on September 17, 1925 in Minot, North Dakota, the only child to Francis and Matthew Krebsbach. Ruby graduated from nursing school in Hibbing, Minnesota. She met Lewis Lee and married July 26, 1947. In 1949 they moved to Arizona. Ruby was a registered nurse and worked at the original Yuma County Hospital, Parkview Baptist and Yuma Regional Medical Center. After retiring she volunteered at the hospital snack bar. Ruby was the first Crane School nurse from 1964 until retiring. She will be remembered for her smile and helping others.Ruby was very faithful to her church. She was a religious education teacher, Eucharistic Minister, reader and visited the homebound. Ruby was a devoted Catholic Daughter serving in both regional and state positions.Ruby was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother of six children… She leaves behind five children; Mary Ann (Terry) Easterday, William (Sheila) Lee, Susanne (Mike) Whitson, Robert (Jackie) Lee, Thomas (Kristi) Lee and daughter-in-law Linda Lee. She has fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Jerome Lee.Services will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church on Friday, September 25th, 2015; viewing will be at 10:00 am and mass at 10:30 am.Thanks to all her friends she leaves behind at Desert Rose and Vital Wellness.Our family would like to extend special thanks for all the love and caring support provided to Ruby and our family by Hospice of Yuma.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Yuma on 8th Avenue or to the Catholic Daughters C/O St. Francis of Assisi Church.
