Bushman, Rose L.Rose "Rosie" Lillian Bushman, age 85, a Newton Resident passed away peacefully Friday afternoon November 3, 2017 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc. She was born on March 1, 1932 in Newton, daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Staddler) Zinkel. On May 19, 1954 she married Robert F Bushman at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim who proceeded her in death on January 30, 2013.Rose was a loving stay at home Mom and house wife. She enjoyed volunteering which included, Holy Family Hospital, Park Lawn Nursing Home, VFW and Sportsman's Club activities and events. She was a member of the St. Isidore and St. Thomas the Apostle Christian Women, Grandma's Club, and other card clubs. She was an active member at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community. Rose was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She was an avid gardener, card player, and bird watcher.Survivors include one son and two daughter-in-laws: Edward & Wendy Bushman, Big Bend WI, Mary(Ron) Hinz, Manitowoc; two daughters and son-in-laws: Lori & Mark Schwoerer, Valders, Joan & James Hofmann, Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren: Niomi (Dustin) Bock, Natalie Bushman, Clayton Bushman, Riley Plemons and fiancé Courtney Mertens, Carly Plemons, Jeremy (Brittany) Bushman, Emily (Jason) Boettner, Ellyse Bushman, and special friend, Robbie Malzahn, Michael Schwoerer, and special friend, Shelly Kaiser, Rebecca (Adam) Puta, Ashley Hofmann; four great-grandchildren: Jaxon Bushman, Sophie Boettner, Connor Boettner, Mackenzie Puta; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Florence & Darrell McCollum, Delores Manlick; two sisters-in-law: Mildred Bogenschutz, Lucille Strauss. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also proceeded in death by one son: Jack Bushman; one great-grandchild: Zanthea Bock; five brothers: Richard Zinkel, Anthony Zinkel, Herman Sprang, Carl Sprang, Art Zinkel; four sisters: Marie Fictum, Margaret Trainer, Gertrude Kohlbeck, Myrtle Sprang; and many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial Will be the Rev. David Beaudry.
