MOUNT PLEASANT - Rose J. Andrea, 93, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was born on April 11, 1923 to the late S. Christ and Martha (Nielsen) Sorensen in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School. On November 28, 1942 she married Louis Andrea at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rose worked at American Brass during WWII, at Rodes Bakery, at Whitts Bakery and was a supervisor in the lunchroom at Tremper High School. Her favorite job was being a crossing guard at Frank Elementary School. Rose was a self taught Bridge player, playing at the Senior Center in Kenosha and Racine. She enjoyed knitting, upholstering and sewing, making her own dresses for square dancing. Rose and her husband belonged to the Circle & Star Square Dancing Club. Her passion was reading. She was also an avid Cub and Blackhawk fan. Rose is survived by her loving husband Louis of 73 years, her loving daughter Lois (Jurgen W.) Seiffert, her grandchildren Donna Andrea, Diane Andrea, Debra Andrea and Doug Seiffert and her great grandchildren Katrina, DShaun, DAngelo, Cianna, David and Isabella. She is preceded in death by her son David Louis Andrea and her siblings Iver Iverson, Thomas Iverson, Harold Sorensen, Margaret Kulin, Alice Pahl and Kathryn Erickson. Memorial Services for Rose will be held on Thursday, September 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
