Rose DelgadoVentura, CARose Delgado, 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born on August 30, 1917 in Tupataro, Mexico. She was a long time resident of Ventura County before moving to Los Angeles, CA where she had a long career as a Clothing Saleswomen. She later returned to Ventura County to be close to family.Rose was preceded in death by her parents Jovita and Leonardo Rodriguez, Brothers Joe, Tony and Louis Rodriguez and Sister Angela Ramirez. She is survived by her brother Joey Rodriguez (Connie) of El Rio, CA, Sister Margaret Cortez of Santa Ana, CA, and Sister-in- law Margaret Rodriguez (Tony, deceased) of El Rio, CA. along with many nieces and nephews.Rose loved to travel and one of her most special moments of her long life is while on one of her two trips to Rome Pope Saint John Paul II reached out and touched her hands. This most special moment was photographed and was one of Rose's most cherished possessions. Her family and friends will remember Rose in that photograph with her glorious smile.Thank you to Kaiser, Dr. Kevin Nishimori who Rose loved. The family would like to express their thanks and sincere appreciation to Erlinda Lizardo for her loving care of Rose for the last 3 years. Additionally, appreciation is expressed to the staff at Victoria Care Center and Hospice for their compassionate attention during Rose's last weeks.Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Reardon's Funeral Home, 511 N. A Street, Oxnard with a rosary convening at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Santa Clara Chapel in El Rio. Burial will immediately follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
