Rose B. Gandert, 88, a resident of Mora, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 in Las Vegas.She was born on June 7, 1927, in Mora to Samuel Brooks and Manuelita Espinoza.She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a Foster Grandparent for Mora Schools.She was preceded in death by her daughter: Evangeline Abeyta; husbands: Beltran Abeyta and Joe E. Gandert: son: Sam A. Abeyta; daughter: Marilyn Abeyta; grandsons: Jeffrey Abeyta and Darren Moises Benavidez.She is survived by her daughters: Leden Benavidez and husband, Moises, of Las Vegas; Geraldine Pacheco and husband, Joe Gene, of South Carmen, N.M.; daughter-in-law: Maria Aggie Abeyta of South Carmen; grandchildren: Virginia Brooks of Santa Fe; Judy Fernandez of Las Vegas; Glen Velasquez of Mora; Alvin Abeyta and wife, Annie; Kimberly Abeyta; Ivan Abeyta and wife, Urszula, all of South Carmen; Charlene Herrera and husband, Anthony, of Las Vegas; Dale Benavidez of Las Vegas; Brian Pacheco and wife, Reina, of South Carmen; Valerie Salazar and husband, Ernest, of Tularosa; sister: Dolores Aragon. Survivors also include numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friendsRosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, also at St. Gertrude Church with Father Dennis Dolter, SOLT as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Abeyta Family Plot in Ledoux with the following serving as Casket Bearers: Alvin S. Abeyta, Ivan A.
