Roosevelt Dereck Davis was born to Althea Marie Davis and Roosevelt Craft April 15, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Lil Velt was the name his family called him. Velt Moved to Michigan at a early age with his family. And that is where he met his friends Tommy Jackson, and Brian Ellsworth, later on in his teens he met Terrance Thomas (T.J) just to name a few. And these guys along with his baby brother Mark had a blast from Dungeons and Dragons, to Spankys, and Area Code. Always keeping in touch they became a brother hood. Velt enjoyed music he taught himself how to play the guitar. And he also study martial arts, he was very talented. After graduating he worked in various places to take care of his son's while still able to play his music. Later on he enlisted into the Army to serve his country, but due to medical conditions he had to come home. Velt was a loyal friend, a great dad, son, brother, and uncle. He has the biggest heart ever. And He will truly be missed.

On August 3,2018 Roosevelt leaves to cherish his two son's Dereck Shedloesky and Sean Reynolds seven grand children; Daniel & Alana Waterous, Harlem Williams,Adrian Alvarez, Khalil Lawrence, Armarah & Sincera Reynolds. His Sisters; Gwendolyn and Yolanda Davis both of Texas, Niecee & Lafonda Craft both of Louisiana, his brother Mark Craft. Of Michigan.Nieces & Nephews; ShaQuana(Clifton) Smith Deshaunn Davis, Adrian Olayinka, Tyrone Gay, Sharese (James) Craft-Sell, Jalon Carson, Christopher Davis, Jerry McDonald, Eric Davis, Railyne & Esmond Ryan Gay.

God Mother; Rita Washington, Special Aunt's; Jessie Craft-Frederick, Zaddie Craft Reed, Ellen Craft- Roche.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his Father Roosevelt Craft, and Mother Althea Davis, his Brothers; Herbert and Raymond Davis, and Nephew Jerry Cole. Also a host of Aunts Uncles and Cousins.
