Thibodaux, La. resident, Rona Marie Delatte passed away February 9, 2016 at the age of 46. Delate was a native of Galliano, La. and was born on May 19, 1969. She is survived by her daughter, Shantelle Danos and husband Dustin, and son, Lionelle Cheramie; grandchildren Amay, Samuel, William, and Emely; parents Doris and Gilbert Jones, Daniel and Barbara Delatte; sisters Danielle Cheramie and Sherry Price, husband Ron Price,; brothers Wilman Guidry Jr., wife Julie, Richard Delatte, and Daniel Delatte Jr., wife Theresa; and four nieces and six nephews.She is preceded in death by her sister Shantel Guidry, stepfather Wilman Guidry Sr.; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.A memorial service will be Friday, February 19, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a mass starting at 1 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La. Rona was a caring sister, a loving mother, and a devoted Mimi to her four grandchildren. She was known to be the brightest light wherever she went and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
