PEMBROKE - Mr. Roland C. Bacon, 75, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2016 at Candler Hospital. He was born on June 2, 1941 in Bryan County to the late Jesse Willard and Vadie Virginia Kirby Bacon. Mr. Bacon retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years as an aircraft engine technician and having served during the Vietnam War. Later, he was employed with D&D Trucking Company as a security officer. He was a member of Cross Way Worship Center and enjoyed fishing and hunting on the Canoochee River. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Ann Bacon; two sons, David Matthew Bacon and Stephen Timothy Bacon; two stepsons, Brian C. and Keith A. Doile; and two brothers, Donald J. Bacon and Paul Bacon. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.Memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with Reverend Michael Altman officiating.
