PLEASANT LAKE — Roger W. Neff, 90, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Laurel's of DeKalb in Butler. Roger was born on March 30, 1924, in Bluffton, Indiana, to the late Edson and Esta (Pennington) Neff. He married Mary J. (Wilhelm) Neff on August 11, 1951, at the Presbyterian Church in Bluffton and she survives. Roger was an insurance salesman for 35 years. He was a former member of the Pleasant Lake Lions Club and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Pleasant Lake. Roger enjoyed fishing, especially the yearly trips to Canada with friends and family. He was an avid fan of IU basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball. Survivors include a son, Joseph (Susan) Neff of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy (Gary) Lesh of Pleasant Lake and Chris (Joe) Rubino of Coldwater, Mich.; two grandchildren, Kristen (Brian) Fuhrmann of Batavia, Ill., and Jacob (Darla) Janasiak of LaPorte, Ind.; and a sister, Ruth Archbold of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Neff and Harold Neff. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Zion United Methodist Church, 3401 S. Golden Lake Road, Pleasant Lake, at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Rick Pettys officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. to service time. Memorials are to the church or , 9135 N.
