OXFORD, WI - Roger M. Peterson, 67 years, of Oxford died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on October 29, 1945. Roger was united in marriage to Kathleen Wohlgefahrt on September 23, 1967 in Racine. He had lived in Racine, moved to Stevens Point in 1988 and later moved to Oxford in 2000. Roger was in the auto industry most of his life where he worked for Sears, was manager of Scheirl Tire in Stevens Point, district sales rep. for Wynns and Pro Cut and also established RPM Distributing. He also helped establish the Cross Roads Apostolic Church in Stevens Point, former President of Westfield Chamber, served as President of Marquette County NOW and a member of the Oxford Chamber. Above all he loved his family. Roger also served in the United States Army Reserves as a supply sergeant for 6 years. Survivors include his loving wife Kathleen of Oxford, son Mark (Venessa) Peterson of Oxford, daughters Wendi (Dean) Brumm of Oxford and Kimmi (Cory) McClure of Racine, 10 grandchildren Kyle, Mason, Alyssa, Aaron, Jessie (Jeff), Brandon, Nate, Matt, Cody and Matty, father and mother in laws Lewis and June Rae Wohlgefahrt of Oxford, brothers and sisters in laws June Rae (Alton) Free of Twin Lakes, WI, Louie (Karen) Wohlgefahrt of Oxford, Gerry (Nancy) Wohlge of Grand Junction, CO, Howard (Given) Wohlgefahrt and Sandy (Mike) Gauntt both of Franksville, WI and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Last but not least their beloved pet Sadie who’s waiting with Roger’s glove ready to play with him again. He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Qualls and his uncle’s Tim and Bud Draves of Racine. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Picha Funeral Home, Oxford with Bill Zenobia officiating. Military rites will follow the service at the funeral home.
