ALBANY, Ky. — Roger Dale Allen, 71 of Albany passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, at his residence. Roger was a 1960 graduate of Union Township High School in Huntington County, where he served as class president. He was Vice President of Sales at Viscofan USA, Inc., for 25 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church in Albany, Kentucky, and was a former member of the Markle United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren; he also enjoyed golfing, boating, listening to music and being outdoors. Roger was born on December 19, 1942 in Wells County, Indiana, the son of Clifford and Iva Mae (Sommers) Allen. He was united in marriage to Pamela Sue Crum on August 25, 1963; she preceded him in death on July 29, 1991. He later married Barbara Sue Latham on October 14, 1992. His wife survives. Additional survivors include a daughter, Lisa (Bill) Willson of Fishers, Ind.; two sons, Robert D. (Lisa) Allen of Westfield, Ind., and Richard D. (Caryn) Allen of Auburn, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Connie Kordenbrock of Florence, Ky.; two sisters, Joyle Allen and Phyllis Lahr, both of Markle, Ind.; seven grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 28, 2014, from 1–3 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle, Indiana. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 3 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, with Pastor Ted Jansen officiating.
