Bob was born on October 6, 1964 at Boulder Community Hospital. He was the first son born to Paul and Ellen Overlie. Bob graduated from Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California in 1983. He attended Christian Heritage College and Coleman College in the San Diego area. He studied religion and pursued his interest in computers. Bob moved back to Colorado from San Diego in 2008 where he lived in Boulder and in Longmont. Since his return he worked at the Century Theater in Boulder, where he worked until his death at Boulder Community Hospital. His life came full circle when his beautiful heart gave out and he returned to the arms of his beloved Creator. A punster extraordinaire, he got a big kick out of telling jokes and watching the eye rolling and head shaking his jokes elicited. He enjoyed music and movies and playing with the latest technology. Most of all he loved people. He loved his family, friends, church and God. And he was deeply loved in return by the same. He is survived by his parents, Ellen MacQueen and Paul Overlie and his younger brother, Michael Overlie. His parents divorced and his father remarried and Bob is also survived by his stepmother, Candy Overlie and a brother Chase Overlie and sister Candace Overlie. Bob is also survived by his Uncle Rolf Overlie and cousins Wade Overlie and Paul Overlie and Uncle Ron Overlie and cousins Scott Overlie, Jeff Overlie and Karlin Overlie. He is also survived by extended family which include his local family consisting of Aunt Susan Caldwell and cousins Kendra Caldwell and Eric Caldwell. He will also be missed by his Uncle Bill Prescott and his wife, Barb. A Celebration of Life will be held in Bob's memory on Thursday March 23, 2017 at 11a.m. The service will be held at Bob's church, New Day Covenant Church located at 2801 Jay Road, Boulder, Colorado.
