Robert Lee Page Sr. passed away on Friday?,? December 5, 2014 at his son's residence in Parker, Arizona. His passing came quickly and peacefully with all his close family by his side. Bob, as he was known to his many friends and family, was born on January 19,1932 in Walnut, Kansas to Loraine and Daisy (Hunt) Page.In his younger days, Bob enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and worked at the local bowling alley, setting pins before they had machines. In 1950, 3 days shy of his 18th birthday, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 3 and a half years during the Korean Conflict. Bob was honorably discharged on April 30, 1953 after having contracting and surviving tuberculosis.Upon his return, Bob worked Hayward Lumber in both Yuma and Parker. He also owned and operated a carnival game business on the East coast. He was responsible for the construction of many homes and businesses in the Parker area. In 1975, Bob went to work for the Missouri/Kansas/Texas railroad until the mid 1990's and in 2000, he moved to Yuma, Arizona.Bob was a lifetime member of the VFW serving as District Commander and All State Post Commander in 1962 and remained very active at the Post. He was also a member of the Eagles and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino.Bob is survived by Bobbie and husband Greg Frye of Wichita, KS., Bud and wife Sharon Page of Springfield, MO., Bill and wife Debbie Page of Wichita, KS., Jim and wife Kim Page of Parsons, KS., Bobby and wife Sherry Page Jr. of Parker, AZ., David and wife Tammy Page of Parker, AZ., Candace Page Nelson of Parker, AZ., Peter Page of Parker, AZ., Misty Page of Baxter Springs, KS?;? 31 grandchildren?;? 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Shirley Page Bush, son Richard Lee "Ricky" Page?;? grandson?,? Evander Jordan Page and Tyler Shane Patton.
