Robert Lee Shaw, 80, of Farmington, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, in Farmington. He was born on April 2, 1936, to Harold and Ruth Shaw, in Gunnison, Colo. Bob was affectionately known as "The Schnauzer Man". You may have seen him in recent times walking his dogs, Buddy and CiCi in the area between 20th St and Main with a smile on his face and a passion for telling a story to anyone who would listen. He was a hardworking man who held many jobs in Denver and Farmington, to support his family. Finally, in the 70's, he got a job as a lineman with APS in Phoenix, where he spent the next 29 years building his dreams. He loved animals of all kinds, the great outdoors, racing stock cars, building houses and would help anyone in need. He will be missed by many and is surely smiling down on his family from his shade tree in heaven. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannie Shaw; parents, Harold and Ruth Shaw; brothers, Dick, Donal and Harold Jr. Shaw. He is survived by his sons, Robert Lee Shaw Jr. of Sacramento, Cali., and Greg Lingor of Denver; brother, Elvin "Tom" Shaw(Sue) of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Mary Soper of Washington and Jean Nussbaum of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren, Jared and Virginia Shaw; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brooklyn, Zachary Shaw of Aztec. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Aztec Church of Christ, 201 Ruins Road in Aztec with Jonathan Dobbs officiating. Robert's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice Funeral and Cremation, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, 505-325-9611. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at
