Koestner, RobertRobert Koestner, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born on April 28, 1924 to the late Joseph and Ida (Kouston) Koestner. During
WWII, 1942-1945, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. On July 2, 1949, Robert married Pearl Fronson. In their 57 years together, they had two children and were married until Pearl's passing in 2007. Robert was a champion dad, hard-working, full of good humor and independent to the end, and completely devoted to his family. He was a typesetter in the printing industry during his working career. His favorite activity in his later years was creating toys, including his signature giant bubble maker, which he delighted in giving away to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his children: Bonnie Koestner and Bruce Koestner, grandchildren: Alison, Mary, and Evan, and their mother Laurie Koestner. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; and brother, Jack Koestner.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or to
the Salvation Army in Robert's name.
