SHERMAN - Honoring the wishes of Robert Howell, 90yrs, who passed away on Thursday, Nov 10, 2016 at Clyde Cosper Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. Cremation arrangements are being made under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Memorial services will be held Sunday Nov 13, 2016 at 2 pm at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Frank (Hank) Lovejoy will officiate.Robert was born on Oct 4, 1926 in Floyd County Texas, south of Lubbock to Lewis and Alie (Cummings) Howell. His is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Nadene Howell; son, Robert Howell Jr.; two brothers, Jack and Lawrence Howell; two sisters, Gladys Sheridan and Dorothy Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Grace Howell; step daughter, Billie Binz and husband Bob of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Lisa Mongoven and husband Tom of Flower Mound, Darren Binz and wife Cathryn of Allen; five grand children; Brynne, Travis, Courtney, Jaxie, Trina, other survivors include, Sandy and Alton Steeleman, Grady Cummings, Dan Howell, Jeff Howell, Lewis Wayne Sheridan and wife Doris, and Amy Alaniz and husband Jim.Robert graduated from Ector High School in 1945 and immediately joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in November 1946. During his lifetime he worked throughout the U.S. with various construction companies in the pipeline construction until his retirement in 1990.
