Glaeser, RobertRobert A. Glaeser, age 91, of North Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Hospice Home of Hope. Bob was born on August 27, 1925 in Manitowoc, WI, to Arnold and Esta (Krohn) Glaeser. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc in 1943. He was drafted into the Navy in October 1943 until May 1946. After the service he worked for the railroad in Green Bay. He had lots of good stories about that year.Bob then went to Fond du Lac Business College. He then married Grace DeFaut on May 13, 1949. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2015. Bob owned and operated Valley Beer in Fond du Lac until he sold his business to Lee Beverage in Oshkosh and worked there until his retirement. He then took two years off and then went to work as a greeter at Walmart for eighteen and a half years. Bob belonged to the Optimist Club and served as Lieutenant Governor and also was a member of VFW 8092.Bob will be missed by his daughter, Bonnie (Curt) Bender of Cambria, WI; four grandchildren, Chad (Jill) Triatik of Fond du Lac, Amy (Joe) Hall of Fond du Lac, Jon (Corey) Bender of Beaver Dam, James (Abby) Bender of Madison; nine great-grandchildren, Mitch, Bryce, and Chase Triatik, Ashley and Megan Hall, Devin and Tyler Bender, and Dalton and Hugo Bender; brother-in-law, Ken Gresl of Manitowoc; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife amazing Grace of sixty-six years; his daughter, Marilyn Triatik; son-in-law, Gary Triatik; his sister, Donna Gresl; brother-in-law, James DeFaut; and his in laws, Frank and Marie DeFaut.Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10-11:30 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11:30 AM and burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
