Robert GillespieAGE: 56 • VinelandRobert Gillespie, 56, of Vineland, passed away on March 5, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center. He was born on October 26, 1960 to Robert Gillespie Sr. and Gladys Gillespie. Robert graduated from Vineland High School in 1978. After high school he played bass in a band and traveled to California. He then worked at the New Jersey Memorial Home where he met his future wife Maria Villanueva. They were married for 30 years. Robert was a member of the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church where he played in the band on Sundays. Robert enjoyed various hobbies including collecting antique cars and making music with various instruments. Robert is survived by his wife Maria Gillespie; daughter Star Gillespie; son Carlos Arbelo; mother Gladys Gillespie; brother Larry Bostic and his sisters Vanessa Thompson and Duralee Upshur. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Alexsia Gillespie, Diego and Gianna Arbelo. A church visitation will be held on Thursday from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am from Voice Of Deliverance Church, 1413 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
