Robert (Bob) N. Bomar 84 of Salinas passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 of Parkinson's Disease. He was born June 23, 1930 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. He enjoyed going on Cruises, watching Nascar and the 49ers and being with his family. He served in the Army National Guard for 42 years. He worked at Fort Ord as a Mechanic and Instructor for 42 years. After retirement he worked for Lugo's Towing for 13 years. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dixie Lee Bomar of Salinas, 4 children, Dee Ann (Stephen) Wirtz, David Bomar, Bobby Bomar, Brenda Hettema, 7 grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Ashbridge, Jeffrey Wirtz, Lisa Hettema, Bradley Hettema, Brianne Sheirdan, Megan Bomar, Nathan Bomar, 2 great grandchildren, Tyler Ashbridge, Natalie Ashbridge, his sibling Jim Housten and mother-in-law, Naomi Pickinpaugh who is 98 years old.
