Wilson , Robert Arthur Sr.,90, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 29, 2017. He served in Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was married to beloved wife for over 60 years. He loved being a ham radio operator, and enjoying time with his family and friends. He was a was member of the VFW for over 50 years and Masonic Lodge, Lewis Lodge, No. 191 for over 40 years. Robert was born on September 24, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Daisy Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara Jean Wilson; son, Robert A. Wilson, Jr.; brother, Bill Wilson; and son-in-law, Stewart L. Jeffries, DMD.He is survived by his daughter, Pam Jeffries; grandchildren, Stewart L. Jeffries (Becca), II, Shane Jeffries, Robert A.Wilson (Amy), III, and Terra Wilson.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a celebration of his life to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
