Our beloved father passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2008. Dad was the oldest of three children born to Andrew George and Ruth Ardell Whitaker Hunt. Dad was born on June 19, 1937, in Pocatello, Idaho. He married Marian Delcrew June 24, 1956. They raised their four children in Livermore, Calif., and Cache Valley, Utah. Dad and Mom were later divorced, but have remained close friends. Dad's greatest joy was spending time with his family, extended and immediate. He especially loved visiting with his grandchildren and he is so proud of each of them. He also enjoyed many years working alongside his three sons and his own father as brick masons. Dad loved to work hard at all he did. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many callings through his life. He loved the families he home taught, and the home teaching companions he had. Dad had the opportunity to serve a service mission in the Logan LDS Temple. Dad loved the temple and has a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He felt like his life was richly blessed. Bob is survived by our Mother, Marian Paul; children, John (Faye) of Concord, Calif.; Andy (Kim) of Oakley, Calif.; Richard of Brentwood, Calif.; and Robyne (Shane) London of Sandy, Utah; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia (Jerry) Jackman of Salt Lake City, and a brother, Randy (Bonnie) of Farmington, Utah, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to thank the staff at the Wentworth and Sunbrook Hospice, along with the members of the Alta Heights Ward and London and Child families, for their friendship, love, support and care given to our father. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at the Alta Heights Ward Chapel, 1500 E. 8600 South, at 11 a.m. Friends and families may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 East, and at the church Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service.
