Esser, Rita M.Rita M. Esser, 87, Arpin, died on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, Vesper, with Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:30 am until service time at St. James Catholic Church. Rita was born on July 3, 1929 in Milladore, to John and Mary (Lang) Beranek. She was united in marriage to Bernard J. Esser on October 6, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore. He died on November 22, 2010. Rita and her husband farmed in Arpin until 1987. She also assisted with the family business, Esser Trucking and Excavating. Rita was a member of the former St. Francis Catholic Church in Arpin and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She volunteered for many years at Bethel Center in Arpin. She is survived by a daughter and 4 sons, Annette (Don) Pyke, Mike (Linda) Esser, Tim Esser, Steven (Nancy) Esser and Jack (Sara) Esser, all of Arpin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
