BURLINGTON - Richard F. 'Mogie' Mogenson, 61, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Aurora Hospital of Burlington. Mogie was born on October 26, 1950 in Watertown, to the late Vernon and Elizabeth (nee Gerhloff) Morgenson. He was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of Burlington High School, class of 1969. Mogie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era with the 1st Air Calvary as a door gunner. On April 3, 1980 in Racine, Mogie was united in marriage to Dawn Baumeister. Mogie worked for Lavelle Industries for 38 years and was a lifelong member of the SFB Motorcycle Club. He loved motorcycles, hot rod trucks, putzing with cars, cutting wood and camping. Mogie enjoyed collecting vehicles and had an abundance of them. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Survivors include his wife, Dawn, daughter, Tera (Jason) Baumeister- Sayre of Burlington, their children; Ashley Sayre, Brandon Challe, Lexi Llanas, Destiny Sayre, Jonathan Sayre and Kaitlyn Sayre, daughter, Jenna Mogenson and by in-laws; Mike Baumeister, Bill (Joy) Bonham, Cheryl (Jon) Hoffman, Elaine (Ron) Baumgart and David (Peggy) Baumeister. Mogie was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Betty June Seefurth and Ellie Mae Poirrier. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday, from 2 until 6 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the So.
