Richard Albert Hammon, age 77, of Tawas City passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.  He was born on Sept. 30, 1938 in Rome, N.Y. to the late Charles and Florence Hammon. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed shooting, re-loading, bowling and off-roading.  Richard is survived by his wife, Susan Hammon, whom he married on July 20, 1984; his son, Richard Hammon Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Hammon; and step-sons, Steve Martin and Matt Martin; sister, Sharon Ingersoll; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Hammon.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at noon at 110 S. First Ave. in Tawas City.
