Rev. Issac Ruffin was born on November 1, 1918, in Birmingham, Alabama to Issac and Bertha Ruffin.

He was married to Bertha Colby. To this union one child was born, Adlene Ruffin.

In 1943 the family moved to Chicago, Illinois. In February of 1953, Rev. Issac and Mrs. Ruffin formed the Immanuel M.B. Church. He worked for Nabisco for over thirty years and retired in 1970.

He departed this life on October 1, 2017.

He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Adlene Jackson; one son-in-law, Carlos Jackson; two granddaughters: Lolethia Jackson, Renee Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Branden Powe, Latoya Jackson, LaDonna Coleman; and along with six nieces, four nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
