Rebecca Chretin, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Yuma, Arizona. She was born on February 6, 1922 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to Angel R. and Salome Aguilar. Rebecca was a long time resident of Yuma and a life-long parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother; a woman who loved God, her family, and her friends. Rebecca was a gentle and kind woman but could be a tower of strength and determination when she needed to be. She worked diligently along with the entire Chretin family at the original Chretin's Restaurant at 485 15th Avenue. She retired along with her husband in 1984. Rebecca is survived by her sister, Arcelia Herrera; brother, Deodoro (Joe) Aguilar. She also leaves her husband of 72 years, Raymond Chretin Sr., daughters, Linda Chretin-Rodriguez, Helen Chretin-Angulo and Rose Marie Chretin; sons, James Chretin and Raymond Chretin Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Mom will be missed but will always remain in our hearts.Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. First Avenue, on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass and Services will be said at Immaculate Conception Church, 505 S Avenue B, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Her final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Honor Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Raymond Chretin III, Michael Chretin, Mark Chretin, Robert Rodriguez Jr., Nicholas Rodriguez, Christopher Angulo, David Angulo, James Chretin Jr., Jason Chretin, Patrick Richey, Jonathan Richey, and Steven Richey.
