Raymond L. ManginiVentura, CARaymond L. Mangini passed away peacefully on January 31, 2017 in Ventura, California.Raymond was born on October 6, 1929 in Santa Barbara, California to Raffaele and Linda Mangini, natives of Genoa, Italy. After graduating Santa Barbara High School, he enlisted in the Air Force and served honorably for a three-year term stationed in Japan. Following his military service, Raymond attended Santa Clara University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He then returned to Southern California and began work at Point Mugu Missile Test Center as an electronics engineer. Raymond remained at Point Mugu his entire professional career, serving the Department of the Navy for over 35 years. While working, he also earned a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. A loving son, husband, father and grandfather, Raymond's kindness, strength and optimism will be missed by the many lives he touched in his wonderful 87 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Patricia Mangini, daughters Cindy Stratton and Traci Mangini, grandchildren Francesca, Massimo and Marco Jorge, and sons-in-law Stuart Stratton and Bernardo Jorge. His family feels truly blessed to have had been a part of his remarkable life.Raymond will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Barbara where he will join his parents and brothers, Eugene and Ralph, who preceded him.
