REISTER, RaymondCharles (Age 91) Raymond Charles Reister was born on March 8, 1925 in Gerome, Washington to Ora and Elizabeth (Bockhouse) Reister. Raymond passed away on October 28, 2016 in Spokane, Washington. He attended Wilbur School District before joining the Army in 1944 where he also received a Purple Heart while serving his country. He married Dorla Novotney in 1948. Raymond is survived by his wife, Dorla; three children, Marsha (Douglas) Kempf, Radene (Chuck) Wyborney, and Terry (Debbie) Reister; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Kennedy and Mildred Wagner, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ora and Elizabeth, a brother, Howard Reister, and a sister, Edith Roloff. Raymond was a member of the Wilbur Presbyterian Church, the Wilbur VFW, Wilbur Senior Center, and was a former Wilbur Gun Club member. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing cards and pinochle and picking huckleberries. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on November 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilbur Presbyterian Church in Wilbur, Washington. Memorials can be made to the Wilbur Senior Center.
