In Loving Memory. You Are My Sunshine.Raymond B. Silva, 94, was born on March 2, 1922 in San Patricio, NM to Irenea Benevidez and Telesforo Silva. He passed on November 22, 2016 in Ruidoso Downs, NM.Raymond was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and a wonderful Rancher. He had a passion for gardening, hunting, riding his horse, and being outdoors. He loved his horse, goat, and made certain to have chickens to keep fresh eggs for his family. While he was not tending to his animals on his spare time, he was hard working, trustworthy, very generous, and demonstrated strong work ethics for his family. He made his family a priority and his values in life were admirable. He served in the Army in 1942. After serving in the Army he worked in the sawmill, then retired from the Village of Ruidoso.Raymond is survived by Benny Montoya, Raymond Griego, Mary Randolph, Candy Guevara; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 17 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Raymond was preceded by his wife Cecilia Silva; sons Richard Urban and Johnny Urban; grandchildren Anthony Montoya and Amanda Urban; siblings Edward Silva, Ambrosia Gonzalez, Benito Silva, Ansedemo Silva, Bonnie Silva, Victor Silva and Onecima (Nancy) Fuentes.A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:00 at St. Eleanor's Catholic Church.
