ROERamona Lee 4/5/1930 - 11/12/2016Ramona Lee Roe passed away at in Perrysburg, Saturday, November 12, 2016, due to complications from dementia. She was 86 years old.Mrs. Roe was born on April 5, 1930, in Toledo, OH to Elmer and Genevieve (Jackman) Anderson. She had one younger brother, Richard, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Whitmer High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She married her high school sweetheart, Harold Roe, in 1953. A daughter, Rebecca, was born in 1955.Mrs. Roe was a homemaker and devoted her time to caring for her husband and raising her daughter. She was a loving, supportive wife and mother, a sensitive and gentle soul, and a empathic friend. She was active in her church and enjoyed playing the piano. She loved books and was an avid reader of fiction, historical novels, philosophy, and politics. She worked as a librarian, and later at Jacobson's department store. She had a flair for fashion and enjoyed her shopping trips. She and her husband loved to travel and take cruises. Their destinations included numerous locations in the continental US, Russia, England, the Caribbean, South America, Hawaii, and Alaska.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold Roe; her daughter, Rebecca Roe Zaun; son-in-law, S. Jeffrey Zaun; two step-granddaughters; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.Many thanks to all the wonderful employees of for the care and comfort that was so needed and appreciated.Visitation will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania Monday, November 21, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at noon.In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to , or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
