Ramona, also known as mom, Nana Rae and Sister, went to her eternal rest on Friday, January 9, 2015 at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear, AZ. Ramona was born on April 15, 1940 to Joe and Ramona Compos in Buckeye, AZ, where she lived until she was 17. She then moved to Yuma where she married Jacinto Lucero. They went on to raise their family in Yuma.Ramona was a doting mother of 4 and a loving wife. She was full of life, always extending a hand to others in need. She was the Diamondbacks #1 fan, and will now be cheering them on from Heaven. Ramona will be greatly missed but lives forever in our hearts.Ramona is survived by her husband, Jacinto M. Lucero; daughter, Cynthia T. (Mark) Gloria; sons, Peter L. (Richard Todd) Lucero, David P. (Ramona) Lucero, and Raymond J. Lucero; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and many nieces and nephews. Her body may be gone but her spirit is alive and strong in her family and friends she left here in this world.A Rosary will be held at St. Henry's Catholic Church 24750 W. Lower Buckeye Road. Buckeye, AZ 85326. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. Service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
