Eddie Thornburg, 76, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born on July 12, 1937. Eddie graduated from Yuma High School in 1958. He was a carpenter for Yuma School district from 1978 until he retired in 1999. He was member of First Southern Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and going camping. Eddie is survived by sons, Mike (Maggie), Ryan and daughters, Stephanie (Tony) Hughes, Leslie (Mike) Diecks; brother, Clifford; sister, Mary Williams; his ex-wife and friend, Mary Christopher; 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; brother, Donny; sisters, Bessie Carl and Norma Lairmore; granddaughter Suzanne Bever; great-grandson, Keagan Bever. Viewing will be held at Johnson Mortuary Monday, February 3, 2014 from 9am to 11am. Funeral services to begin at 11am. Burial to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
