Preston Franklin, 67, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Preston was born to Edward Franklin Sr, and Mary Franklin, November 15, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Preston graduated from Glenville High school and received a degree from Cuyahoga Community College in 2004. He married Valarie Jones, and they lived together in Cleveland. Preston worked at V.A. Hospital and Volunteers of America Cleveland Veterans Resource Center.

Preston served his country in the United States Air force

Preston was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he dedicated his life to Christ in 2003.

Preston is survived by 2 children: Selena Pittman (Alsindor Pittman), and Preston K. Franklin Jr., Siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a ton of dear friends. 

Preston is remembered for his love, laughs, and loyalty. He was a man who enjoyed hosting large Christmas, Thanksgiving, BBQ's ,and Easter Sunday dinners. He was a member of the AA community for number of years and loved spending time with his grandchildren! He lived a life devoted to helping and serving others in his family and community. Preston is also a Carpenter by trade and was very skilled in that area of work. Grandaddy will always remembered and never forgotten.
