Porter Ollie Daniel, Jr.Naples, FLPorter Ollie Daniel, Jr., 76, of Naples, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 following a courageous fight with brain cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.Porter was an avid golfer and cherished his time at The Country Club of Naples, where he served on various board committees. He was also active with his condominium association where he was lovingly referred to as "The Mayor," due to his full time commitment to the well-being of his neighborhood.Porter was born on February 7, 1941 in Mineola, NY. He was educated at Avon Old Farms, Tulane University, Long Island University, and Keller Graduate School of Management. He retired to Naples in 2005 following a long career in the logistics management field.He is survived by his wife, Judy; 3 sons, Porter III (Anna), Eric (Jennifer), and Jason (Stephanie). He leaves five beautiful grandchildren: Portlyn, Lily, Joshua, Logan, and Holly who knew him as their doting "Pop-Pop," as well as a sister, Judy (Dick) Morrison and several nieces and nephews.The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all of Porter's many friends who have kept in touch and provided loving support during the difficult months of his illness.A celebration of life will be held later this year.
