Phyllis C. MoserMar 27, 1920 - Oct 6, 2013Preston - Our dear sweet mother, Phyllis Christensen Moser, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. Phyllis was born on March 27, 1920 in Preston, Idaho to Chester Schmidt and Alice Calkins Christensen. She grew up in Preston in what she calls the old second ward. She met Earl Lavon Moser in 1939 and they were married and sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on January 19, 1940. After they married they moved to Egypt, east of Preston to the Moser farm where she lived the rest of her life!Phyllis was a faithful member of the Preston 5th Ward. She served her Heavenly Father in many different callings throughout her life. She enjoyed being a member of the singing mothers for many years. Our mother enjoyed being a homemaker and sharing her many talents with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting cookouts, family dinners, special occasions and holiday celebrations for her family. She had the knack for good cookin!! She also had a special talent at crocheting, sewing, quilting and embroidering. Everyone in her family has a special treasure she has made for them. Mom had a beautiful yard and really enjoyed the time she spent working in it. Phyllis was a member of the Ki-Anns. She also served at the Franklin County Fair. She was an "original" member of her pinochle club where she has made lifetime friends. She is survived by her children Glade (Peggy) Moser, of Egypt, ID; Judy (Tom) Petterborg, of Glendale, ID; Ed (Connie) Moser, of Egypt, ID; Stephen (Launa) Moser, of Preston, ID; Randy (Sherrie) Moser, of Egypt, ID; Pam (Steven) Ransom, West Point, UT; and Becky (Ruben) Orozco, of Preston, ID; 31 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, two brothers Phoenix and Palmer Christensen, two sisters Patty Phillips and Conna Christensen, a granddaughter Kelly Petterborg, and a great granddaughter Shakeara Waldron.Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston 5th Ward LDS Chapel, 213 South 200 East in Preston. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Whitney Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Heritage Home and the staff of Access Home Care and Webb Funeral Home. Oh how we love our Mother!
