Apfelbeck, PhilPhil Apfelbeck, age 52, of Burnett passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Koepsell- Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home.Phil was born on April 15, 1964 the son of Clem and Ruth Apfelbeck (Cundy). He was a graduate of Mayville High School and was employed at John Deere for the past 19 years. He was united in marriage to Kim Dommer on November 29, 1985 at the Mayville Park Pavilion. In his spare time Phil loved being outdoors whether it be deer hunting, duck hunting on the Horicon Marsh or boating on Big Green Lake with his family. He was a member of the Burnett Fire Department. He also enjoyed working on his son Cody's race car and loved to watch him race. Family was important to Phil and he cherished the time spent with his wife, children, and extended family. Phil is survived by his wife- Kim of Burnett. His sons- Jared (Ashley Schroeder) Apfelbeck and Cody (fiancé Hailey Westimayer) Apfelbeck of Burnett. His father- Clem Apfelbeck of Mayville. His mother- Ruth (Gib) Cundy of Wild Rose. His siblings- Paul (Lori) Apfelbeck of Theresa, Patrick (Rhonda) Apfelbeck of Mayville, Perrie (Jill Briskie) Apfelbeck of Oakfield, and Tricia (Dave) Schmidt of Wild Rose. Step Siblings- Faye (Bill) Coffman, Mike (JoAnn) Engel, and Mike, Steve, Cathy and their spouses. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.He is preceded in death by grandparents, step mother Rose Mary 'Rosie' Engel Apfelbeck and step sister Sandra Frasch.Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.
