Peter Carden IrvineVentura, CAPeter Carden Irvine, 90, beloved husband, father and friend, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Ventura, on, August 12, 2017. Dad was born on January 8, 1927, in Santa Barbara, California, to Fred and Rosie Irvine.Dad attended Santa Barbara High School, before joining the Navy in January of 1945. In August of 1947, he married Norma Jean Lund. They enjoyed 69 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised two children, daughter Bonnie, and son Jim. After living and working on the Irvine Ranch and oilfields in Goleta, they moved their family to Ventura in 1958. Along with providing a loving and caring home, he worked in pipeline construction, and was very involved in the establishment of Foothill Little League and coaching Jim. Dad thoroughly enjoyed the years at the family cabin at Bass Lake, where he and Mom made many cherished friends and enjoyed endless days fishing from his pontoon boat and playing games. He enjoyed working in the garage and or yard every day, and his and mom's yard was something to behold. Peter was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Norma, in November of last year. He leaves behind daughter Bonnie (Tom), and her son Kelly (children Kameron, Kylie and Kinley), son Kevin (wife Shelby, children Kyler, Kamden and Kenadie) and daughter Keri (husband Tim, children Kolton, Knox and Kolly (on the way). Son Jim, and his daughter Jasmine (husband Aaron, children Riley, Luca and Bodie), son Parker (partner Shelbi, children Payton and Raif) and son Kaden. Also, his rescued faithful companion Cory. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother Albert.The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers from Livingston Memorial, especially the love and care provided to Dad by Jamie, Annalyn, Justine and Melody. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Charles Carroll Mortuary and graveside services will be on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura at 10:30 AM.
