Cox-Reed, Rev. Pearlie B. ALBANY Reverend Pearlie B. Cox-Reed was called home to eternal glory with the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Pearlie, the daughter of the late Cora and Joe Cecil Adams, was born on February 3, 1950, in Dadeville, Ala. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for several years until she assumed a management position for a developmental disabilities organization dedicating more than 30 years to serving in the disabilities field. In 2013, she received a bachelor's degree in theology and served as an associate minister at Bethany Baptist Church. To cherish her memory and continue her legacy, Pearlie leaves two daughters, Jennifer (Jermaine) Ivery and Cobra L. Cox; three grandchildren, Ptah, De'Anthony and Le'Airra Ivery; a sister, Margaret L. Wood and a host of family members and friends who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Charles Reed. Pearlie will be remembered on Friday, December 16, in Bethany Baptist Church located at 59-65 Second St., Albany, with viewing hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by funeral services.
