Paul (Dave) MatthewsFULTONHAM: Paul (Dave) Matthews, 66, of Fultonham, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Genesis-Good Samaritan Emergency Room.He was born on January 16, 1949 in Columbus. He retired from Owens -Brockway after 38 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, and spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sally Matthews of the home; three children, Lori (Tim) Davis of Delaware, Ohio, Crystal (Michael) Freeman of the home, and David (Kim) Matthews of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Megan, and Parker Davis, Justice and Allie Freeman, Ayden and Cooper Matthews; several nieces and nephews; one brother, Richard Matthews of Zanesville; one sister, Marla Parr of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Raymond and Norene (Claypool) Matthews; one sister, Myla VanWey.Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 with Debbie Koons officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park where Zanesville VFW Post #1058 and the United States Army will conduct military honors.
