PATRICIA (LIBBY) RUNTE, 71 FREEPORT - Patricia (Libby) Runte, 71, of Freeport died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at RMH. Patricia was born on September 11, 1942, in Freeport, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Arrasmith) Libby. Patricia married Gerald Runte in Freeport on June 24, 1961. Patricia was a homemaker/mother for most of her life. She served many years on Women's Ministry and loved the Lord. Patricia enjoyed fishing, camping, being in the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She attended Zion Church and greatly enjoyed it. Survivors include two sons, Dan (Mindy) Runte of St. Louis, Missouri and Mike (Terri) Runte of Freeport; two daughters, Tricia (Roger) Truckenmiller of Hudsonville, Michigan and Brandy (Doug) Quinn of Freeport; one brother, David (LeeAnn) Libby of Freeport; one sister, Becky (Dave) Stearns of Anchorage, Alaska; and 5 grandchildren, Gerrod, Jesse, Cayl, Micah, and Ezekiel. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerry; her parents; and her son, Bob. A celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon Thursday, January 30, 2014, at The Zion Church of Freeport, with Rev. Gardy Cronk. Family will meet and greet friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A memorial has been established in her name.
