Patricia Barbara (Bullene) RyanDec. 4, 1947 - May 1, 2017SalinasPatricia Barbara (Bullene) Ryan, beloved wife of Kevin Ryan, died on the first day of May. Both she and Kevin were lifelong citizens of Salinas, growing up a little more than a mile apart. Pat's roots in California go back six generations.Pat and her twin Michael were born on the fourth of Dec. 1947, to Richard and Lillian Bullene. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish all her life. The important events of her life were celebrated there: her Baptism, First Confession, First Communion, Confirmation and her Marriage to Kevin. Appropriately, her Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart. There we will gather to celebrate a life of commitment to family, Church and community.Pat was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish and for 14 years president of the Altar Society. Both she and Kevin enjoyed the time they spent in Rodeo Association events. She began her working career at the Parks Department of Salinas, then the Elections Department of Monterey County. For more than two decades, she served in the Superior Courts of the county.Pat's death leaves a vacant space, not only in the heart of her husband Kevin and his sister Theresa Whitford, but also in those of her siblings: Michael Bullene (Melinda), Mary Krouse (John), Fr. Richard Bullene, Kathy Bullene and Elizabeth Stelloh (David).
