Palmer Lee DowningJackson, TNLocal Businessman, Palmer Lee Downing passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017. He had battled Alzheimer's for many years. He was known for running a successful local business forms distributorship, DATA SOURCE, and being active at his Church, serving as Deacon, and Elder at Campbell Street Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January, 5 2017 at 12:00 pm at Campbell Street Church of Christ with Ray Hawk, and Danny Sorrell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.Mr. Downing was born on July 9, 1939 to the late Earl and Ethel Phillips Downing. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by five siblings; Dean Scott, Frances Campbell, Joyce Culp, L.E. Downing Jr., and Charles Downing.He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Coats Downing of 57 years, a daughter Teresa Hurst (Steve) of Ooltewah, TN, a son Wade Downing (April) of Jackson, Two sisters Peggy Max, and May Spurgeon both of Munford, 5 grandchildren Rob and Tyler McAnally (Brittany), Garrett and Brylee Downing, Nathean Burress, and two great grandchildren Nolan, and Heath McAnally.Visitation will be held on Thursday January 5, 2017 from 10:00 am to the time of the Service at 12:00 pm at Campbell Street Church of Christ.
