Otilia B. (Botelho) "Tillie" Giansanti, 94, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Victor G. Giansanti, died peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on January 15, 1922 in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late Antone and Anna (Raposa) Botelho. She was married to Victor G. Giansanti on Memorial Day 1942 and together they lived in Hartford, before moving to South Windsor in 1961. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in South Windsor. Tillie worked at Veeder-Root in electronics for 29 years and retired in 1983. Tillie enjoyed trips to the local casino. A kind, caring, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed. She leaves her sons, Victor G. Giansanti Jr., of Garden City, SC and Richard P. Giansanti and his wife Susan of South Windsor; her grandchildren, Brent Giansanti and wife Karin of Ellington, Christopher Giansanti of Stafford Springs and Natalie Ryan and her husband Kevin of Concord, MA; her great grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, John, Sadie and Deven and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 4-7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, 10 a.m., with family and friends meeting directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Rd., South Windsor. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
