Oscar Paul Eagle, loving father and husband, passed away on Oct. 13, 2016, at Alaska Regional Hospital. He was 58 years old. Oscar was born on June 27, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, to Vivan and Glendora Eagle. Oscar moved to Alaska in 1994, making Anchorage his lifelong home. He served in the U.S. Army from 1977-1997 as a Sergeant 1st class. After his service to the military, Oscar was employed by IBEW, Redi Electric and Hotwire Communications.Oscar is survived by his wife, Mi Kyong Eagle; son, Jason Scott Eagle; daughter, Laura Anne Eagle; daughter-in-law, Sonia Marie Eagle; and sisters, Paula Eagle Lange and Nannette Aderholdt, along with brothers-in-law, Oscar Aderholdt and Dale Lange. Oscar is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Eagle; and parents, Vivan and Glendora Eagle.There will be a public visitation on Oct. 21, 2016, at Baxter Road Bible Church, 3600 Baxter Road in Anchorage, Alaska, beginning at 11 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 12 p.m. Ron Slepecki will be officiating the service. Oscar will be laid to rest at Fort Richardson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers include: Jason Eagle, Ryan Bennette and Dale Lange.Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
