Oran "OC" Correll, Jr.RISINGSUN: Oran "OC" Correll, Jr., age 88, of Risingsun, Ohio passed away on Saturday (March 18, 2017) at his home. He was born on March 8, 1929 in Risingsun, Ohio to the late Oran W. & Lu Ella (Allison) Correll, Sr. Surviving is a sister, Mary Mundwiler of Fostoria, Ohio; special friend, Diane Filmore and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Engle, Betty Morel & Phyllis Walters; brother, Donald Correll.Oran graduated from Risingsun High School and then went on to B.G.S.U. where he received a degree in Education. He taught business classes for 8 years in Risingsun High School, 8 years at Lakota High School and then 19 years at Vanguard. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Risingsun, Ohio where he was the treasurer for 50+ years. Oran served his country proudly by serving in the Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the S.A.R. (Sons of American Revolution) where he was a former treasurer.Friends will be received from 11-2 PM Tuesday (March 21, 2017) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery near Bradner, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
