LAUREL HILL — Mrs. Olivia "Levia" Grooms Clark passed away on Oct. 18, 2013 at Pinehurst Health Care and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 95.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Don Malpass and Pastor Kyle Wyckoff. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Clark was born on Aug. 4, 1918 to the late Callie Chavis Grooms and John William Grooms. She was predeceased by her husband Ervin James Clark and son William Howard Clark, Sr. She retired from the Scotland County School System Food Services. After retirement, she worked at Fort Caswell Baptist Assembly with 17 years of service.
She was a member of the Laurel Hill Baptist Church and cherished spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Emma Sears, Melouise Grooms, Tilman "Ted" Grooms, Clyde Grooms, and Barry Grooms.
Survivors include her son Ronald Clark and wife Barbara of Rockingham, daughters Doris Smith and husband Walter of Laurel Hill and Beverly Hill of Laurel Hill, daughter-in-law Sue Clark of Laurel Hill, and sister Peggy Hodges of Hamlet. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren
Visitation will be on Oct.19, from 6-8 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
Memorial may be made to your choice of Nazareth Children's Home, 725 Crescent Road, Rockwell, NC 28138 or the Laurel Hill Baptist Church for the Fort Caswell Youth Camp at P.O. Box 367, Laurel Hill, NC, 28351.
