PRESTON, Idaho - Nordan Beckstead Peterson, 78, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born on Aug. 18, 1931, in Franklin, Idaho, to Oscar Leo and Leona Beckstead Peterson. He married Lois Peterson on March 3, 1985, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Nordan always enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed visits with his brothers and their families. He was always tinkering with something, wanting to see how it worked. He tinkered with and restored a 1954 Ford Truck. Nordan was the caller for Bingo at the nursing home and will be missed by those who knew him there.He is survived by his wife Lois, of Preston, a daughter Brenda Hooley, of Logan, Utah; two brothers Nile (Emma Lee) Peterson, of West Valley, Utah; and Leon Dee (Linda) Peterson of Pinton, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Floyd and Carl Peterson; and a sister Norma Copeland.Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at noon in the Preston 5th Ward Chapel, 213 S. 2nd East in Preston, with Bishop Trent Alder conducting. A viewing will be held Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Whitney Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
