Noble Hajime YoshidaCHILLICOTHE: Noble Hajime Yoshida, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 12:25 p.m. on December 6, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.He was born on August 29, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, the only child of James Nobuo and Mary Kishiko Shirachi Yoshida. He and his family were interned at Rohwer, Arkansas during
WWII, moving to Kettering, Ohio afterward where he went to Fairmont High School. After he graduated DePauw University in 1956, he earned a M.S. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. He married Fumie Nii on August 12, 1961, in Loomis, California and they returned to Kettering, Ohio where they started their family. After a 7 year stint in Arlington Heights, IL, he took a position as Technical Director with the OPAS Group of Mead in Chillicothe, Ohio, where he worked until his retirement. Noble was very active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors at Adena Regional Medical Center, President of Rotary, Treasurer at the Chillicothe Country Club, Member of the Executive Counsel with the Boy Scouts, Member of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, and has always been an active member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church. He is remembered by his wife Fumie; a daughter, Annette (James "Rob") Lively, of Dayton; grandchildren, Brandon Lee and Kenny Doyle Lively and great-grandchild, Rebecca Arya Skye Lively; a son David (Dorothy "Mandy") Yoshida, of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kylie Nobara, Wesley Nobuo, and William Noble Yoshida. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Joe Ziraldo officiating. Burial will be held in Kettering at the convenience of the family.
