Greater Works Ministries announces with sadness the passing of our brother Nimrod Dewah Robb

Nimrod Dewah Robb was born on May 20, 1980 to Fanny Walker and the late James Anderson in Westland, Michigan. Nimrod attended the Inkster Public School System and remained a resident of Inkster, Michigan.

Nimrod devoted his life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of W.W. Davis at Gethsemane Baptist Church. He later joined Saint John’s Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Hardy Johnson Sr. He was a faithful man of God leading the choir giving God all the glory.

For all who knew Nimrod also affectionately known as “Nimfo”, knew him as a caring person. Nimrod was a man of many talents. Nimrod had a very big heart always lending a helping hand. He was physically a strong man lifting the heaviest piece of furniture or appliance. People often wondered where he got his physical and emotional strength. He was loving, caring and definitely a man of his word. Because of his love for sports, he played basketball and football. After graduation, he would attend the games in support of his nephews and cousins bringing family and friends along with him. He cared for everyone even the stray animals in the streets. It was common for his mother to come home to find a stray cat, dog, turtles even once a snake. If it wasn’t an animal, it was a person that he would provide shelter for or prepare a meal for. He would turn no one away; that was just Nimrod, that’s who he was. Nimrod shared his love, joy and most of all, his smile with family and friends on all occasions. His love was felt by all.

He had unconditional love for his children, his nieces and nephews. He was an awesome father of six; five daughters and one son. He would do anything for them. He loved his children to no end. They could do no wrong in his eyes; if they did, he made the correction and gave them guidance. He spent countless time making sure his children knew he loved them. Nimrod’s mother was a special woman to him, the apple of his eye. It was her faith in God, tenderness, love and instruction which was the foundation for Nimrod’s love, care and devotion. He had a special love for his brothers that no one could imagine. He respected his brothers and their advice. He would be there for their every need. They would get together to enjoy cooking, making music, singing, dancing, and sharing many laughs together. And surely they loved him dearly, traveling together, sharing the latest fashion trends, eating good food, and above all celebrating life. His extended family, the Johnsons and St. John Church was very near and dear to his heart. Surely Nimrod would want you to know the love he has for you all.

There is so much more that could be said about our dear Nimrod. Nimrod’s love touched many. We know that the memories will last in your hearts a lifetime. God Bless You All!
