RACINE - Nicholas L. Nick Minneti, 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 on his fathers and granddaughter Chriss birthday at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care- All Saints, after a brief illness. Nick was born on December 16, 1917, the son of Natale and Anna (nee: Sammarco) Minneti. He was united in marriage to Annamarie Thompson on June 16, 1939 in Racine at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church where he was a member for many years. Nick was employed at Western Publishing as a book binder retiring after 45 years of service. He was very proud to have been invited as a guest to participate in amateur status with the G.M.O. for three years and continued to find great enjoyment in golf until he reached the age of 85. Nick is survived by his children; Thomas (Gail) Minneti of Racine, John (Fleurette) Minneti of Ormond Beach, FL., and Marilynn (Don) Witt of Monticello, WI, along with seven grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Cliff, Jodie, Jeff, Mike and Michael. He is further survived by six great grandchildren, sisters; Carmel Brunnelson, Josie Yunk, Anna Lawler, Fran (Ed) Aiello, brothers; Paul, Tony and Dominic (Gail) Minneti, one sister-in-law, Rosemary Minneti, and longtime companion, Sylvia Evans, in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends in Racine, Florida, and Canada. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annamarie in 1991, parents, sisters; Maggie Olson, Lucy Junk, Mary Ernst, brother, Jacob John Minneti, brothers-in-law; John Lawler, James Brunnelson, Arthur Olson, Roy Ernst, Ernest Yunk, and Erwin Junk. Nicks memorial visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Monday December 3, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Nick will be laid to rest next to his wife at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy. #32 in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Nick in a special way may direct memorials to St. John Nepomuk Church.
